We were so fortunate to have two author visits in the Library last week. On Thursday, January 30th, renowned author Madeline Miller joined us via Zoom for a lively and inspiring Q & A with students about her book Circe (Back Bay Books/Hachette Book Group). Our neighbors at the Center for Fiction made this event possible and donated books through the Kids Read program to give to students for our Winter Break Book Club, and the Fantasy Book Club members facilitated the Q & A.
On Friday, January 31st as part of Tech's Speak4All 9th grade reading initiative, Bushra Rehman visited the library to answer questions for two groups about her book Roses, In the Mouth of a Lion (MacMillan) which inspired conversations about identity, religion, gender, community, queerness, education, and especially about friendship. We are so grateful to both of our authors for these memorable events with our students and faculty!
